Investment professionals may place some of
their equity trades through us which we typically execute on an
agency basis. We execute trades on major exchanges, through ECNs
(electronic communications networks), and crossing networks. The
business is very competitive, but the human element in patiently
executing orders as appropriate will continue to be of value in the
marketplace.
Our traders include seasoned,
well-rounded professionals with portfolio management and analytical
experience, providing additional value both in the execution process
and in information feedback to the customer.
As we learn the thought processes behind
trades we tend to develop trusted relationships with our customers, as
they come to know that we will always act in their best interests. From
time to time the ideas for trades placed with us were originally
conceived or evaluated at one of our lunches. We keep our customers
informed if we become aware of information that could impact their
investment decisions before and after they trade. |
